Answers.
There is no tread-milf labour, but shot-drill, emuk- Jabont, and stone-carrying are in furec.
The hours of labour throughout the year are from the 1st Marel to the 31st October from 6.15 a.m. to 4.15 pan., and from the 1st November to the 28th February from 6.45 a.m. to 4.15 pan, one hour being allowed for dinner. Prisoners at erank labour, full task, have to complete 12,500 revolutions at a 12 b. pressure. European and Chinese prisoners at shot-drill do 4} hours in spells of half nú hour at a time, with stone- carrying or oakum-picking in the intervals.
Tailoring, sine-making, carpentering, grass and coir mut making, raftun work, printing, hook-binding, not making, dinsmithing, washing, cleaning, and incidental repairs to the Prison Imiblings.
Prisoners have not been employed outside the Gool during the year.
The total expenditure of the Gaol in 1910 was $96,302.19, of which the sum of $3,845,61 was refunded. for the subsistence of Naval, Military Court Martial prisqunes, Debtors, &e, as follows:-
