SPECIFICATION OF TAXES, DUTIES, &c.

Act of Colonial Legislature or other Authority under which levied.

Box RENTS:-

$60 per annum for each Private Letter Box placed on board the River Steamers belonging to or managed by the Hongkong, Canton & Macao Steamboat Co., Ld., and running between Hongkong and Canton.

$10 per annum for each private box at Hoogkong, Shanghai or Tientsin.

MONEY ORDERS :—

Rates of Commission chargeable on Money Orders.

The commission to be charged on the issue of Money Orders payable in Hongkong and the Agencies in China will be one cent per dollar or fraction of a dollar, with a minimum charge of 5 cents; for Money Orders on all other places the commission will be one and a half cents per dollar on the amount (or equivalent of the amount), in dollars, with a minimum charge of 10 cents.

HONG HOM Cattle DePÔT :—

1. The fee payable for each head of cattle housed in a Government Depôt outside the limits of the City of Victoria shall be two cents for the day of entry and a further two cents for every additional day that each head of cattle romains in such depôt, when such cattle are housed for slaughter or for removal to another Government Depôt.

2. The fee payable for each sheep, pig or goat housed in a Government Depôt outside the limits of the City of Victoria shall be fivo cents when such animals are housed for slaughter or for removal to another Government Depôt.

3. The fee payable for each head of cattle housel for removal in a Government Depôt outside the limits of the City of Victoria shall be fifty cents, and the fee payable for each pig, sheep or goat similarly housed for removal shall be ten cents when animals so housed are removed to any place other than another Government Depôt.
