REMARKS.

(1) Attached to no pail by Medies] Department.

(2) Mr. Hanmer neted »8 "ecretary from 30th March to 31st December during the absence of Mr. Wondenek on leave, and drew half pay of Temporary Assistant Secretary and half the initial sterling pay of Secretary from the 29th July in 31st December.

(3) Mr. Kemp neted as Second. Magistrate and drew half pay of Sud Magistrate and half of Assistant Secretary's pay from 30th March to 31st July, und Mr Orme acted as Assistant Secretary and drew balf Pussed ('alet's pay and half the initial sterling pay of Assistant Secretary from 30th March to 31st July.

(4) Mì. Lo Man-kai acted as Assistant Interpreter to the Supreme Court, from 1st to 10th January, and Mr. Wong Ming acted Correspondence Clerk during that period.

(5) Vice Mr. H. Harteaui resigned on 3rd February.
