REMARKS.
(1) Mr. Jolinston, who actel as Treasurer throughout the year, drew balf pay of that post from Iat January to 20th July and 21st November to 31st December. On May 12th he resumed charge of Department whilst continuing as Treasurer and (Trow from January 1st to May 11th half of $4,800 and half Imperial Allowance of £190, fro ụ May 12th to July 29th, and November 21st 10 December 31st three quarters of $4,800 and Imperial Allowance.
(2) Mr. Ross acted as l'ostmaster General from 1st January to 11th May, and drew hilf of $1,800 and $510 House Allowance and
half of $4,500 together with half of the Imperial Allowance.
(3) Mr. Lewis returned to the Colony on 3rd March. He drew full pay from May 13th to July 20th and November 21st to
December 31st plus the lapsing portion of the salary of the Postmaster General (one quarter of £600).
(4) Messrs. Reed, Dixon, Burnett, Martin, P. Remedios and Suvage cach drew one-sixth of the lapsing half pay of the Assistant
Postmaster General from lat January to 2nd March.
