The Chinese inhabitants contribute, by a voluntary assessment among themselves, to the of District Watchmen. They contributed for the year 1902
$17,461.69.
The Governor appoints to the office of Watchmen such fit persons as he may consider to be sufficiently recommended by the inhabitants of any District, under the provisions of Ordinance 13 of 1888.
