Ventilation is as good as pos- sible in a ship and the cúbic space allowed to each patient is liberal. On emergency over 110 coukl be accommodated giving each 600 feet on upper deck and 900 on lower deck. During the summer montlis ventilation of the lower deck is not good owing to winds being light or absent.
This, of course, does not include the large airspace above the private warls and dispensary. Jussages, &c.
Including sliding shutters above private wards.
In addition to all there is an open space of 4 inches between the side nl roof of ship all ronud.
