Ventilation is as good na pos- sible in a ship and the cubie space allowed to cach patient is liberal. On emergency over 110 could be accommodated giving each 600 feet on upper deck and 900 on lower deck. During the summer months ventilation of the lower deck is not gool owing to winds being light or absent.
