(1) From 26th May to 31st December, 1898, Commander Hastings drew half salary of Assistant Harbour Master while performing the duties of Acting Police Magistrate, E. Jones drew half the salary of Assistant Harbour Master and half of his own, E. J. Mengens drew half the salary of 1st Bonkling Officer and balf of his own. M. Melver drew hilf the salary of 2nd Boating Officer and half of his own. F. C. Colinço drew half the salary of Inspector of Junks and half of his own, and M.
