Piers and Wharves outside of the City of Victoria will be subject to payments calculated at one half the above seale.

In all cases where permission is given by the Director of Public Works to erect a pier over Crown Foreshore, and such pier is removed on or before the expiration of one calendar mouth from the date of granting such permission, the encroachment shall not be subject to Crown Rent.

INTEREST.

On fixed Deposits in Local Banks at 4 per cent. per annum, as also the Interest allowed by the Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation on Current Deposit Accounts, at the rate of 2 per cent. per annum on the daily balance to credit of Government.
