Revenue of the Colony.
(1) From 6th October to 30th November, 1895, Commander Rumsey drew half salary while on leave, Commander Hastings drew half the salary of Harbour Master and half of his own, E. Jones drew half the salary of Assistant Harbour Master and half of his own, E. J. Meugens drew half the salary of 1st Bonnling Officer and half of bis own, M. McIver drew half the salary of 2nd Boarding Officer and half of his own, F. de Cruiz drew half the salary of Assistant Inspector of Junks and half of his own and Mak Fan (Board of Trade Shroff) drew half the salary of Indian and Malay Interpreter an 1 refunded into Treasury half his Board of Trude salary ($7.60 per month). After the return from leave of the Harbour Master these arrangements were continued till the end of the year (while the Assistant Harbour Master was performing the duties of Captain Superiot endent of l'olice); the distribution of salaries commencing with the lapsing half salary of Assistant Harbour Master and ending with the Indian and Malay Interpreter.
