Note 1.-A Bill of Exchange for exactly $50 is to be charged 2 conts, and so
throughout the tablo.
If
Note 2.-When Bills of Exchange or other such documents are drawn in sets of two
or more, half the above duties to be charged on each part of a set. the Duty bo 5 conts the first part of the set shall be charged 3 cents, and the other parts 2 cents each.
Note 3.—In the ease of Bills in sets drawn out of the Colony, the whole duty shall be payable on that part of the set which is first prosented for piymenit
or acceptance, or is first otherwise negotiated, the other parts of the set being free.
