7.-GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS.
Government House.
Government House was maintained in repair, and the Sanitary arrangements were satisfactory.
8.-PUBLIC WORKS.
The expenditure under this head was $25,102.14 for ordinary repairs to buildings, $51,518 fœ upkeep of the roads and streets; and $62,115.90 for Defensive Works.
