XXI. What are shortly the rules us to diet?
Answers.
With the exception of debtors and first class misde- meanauts and prisoners on remand or committed for trial, all prisoners are placed on penal diet of bread (01 rice) and water on two days of each week (Saturday and Sunday) for the first six months of their imprison-
ment.
At other times, except when under punishment for Prison offences, the diet of each prisoner is as follows:—
