The cost for printing Government Gazette, forms, and supply of Stationary, &c. hitherto charged under this Heading is new transferred to Miscellaneous Services.

Salaries, &c., of Opium Revenue Department were only accounted

for 9 mouths in 1883.

Salaries, &c., of Sanitary Staff, commenced from May, 1883,

The Salary of Head Gardener commenced in June, 1883,

Contribution towards Imperial loss on conveyance of Mails

1881-84.

Re-arrangement of Office Staff.

Salaries, &c., of the Government Marine Surveyor incorporated

expended in 1884 for Quarantine Station.

Increase chiefly in the costs of Arms and Ammunitions.

Conversion of No. 1 Steam Engine into a Floating Fire Engine

paid in 1883.

Increase in pension paid to Police.
