The Hongkong Artillery and Rifle Volunteer Corps, originally incorporated by Sir IancuLES POPISSON under Ordinance 2 of 1862, was disbanded by Sir Richard MacDONNELL in 1866, but revived and re-organized by Governor Pope Hennessy in 1877-8; it was again disbanded in 1882, and re-organized in same year by the Hon. W. H. MARSH, C.M.G., the Officer Administering the Government under Ordinance 18 of 1892.
