PREMIUM ON SALES OF LEASES :—
In addition to the Annual Rental which is fixed, leaseholds are disposed of by Public Auction for a premium paid down in a lump sum by the highest bidder,
MARKETS:-
RENTS, EXCLUSIVE OF LANDS.
Lands at $20 monthly....
Shops, from $15 to $21 monthly.
Stalls, from $1 to $2.50 monthly.
There is a premium paid in a lump sum by the persons to whom these leases are granted when the Shop, Lan or Stall is considered by the Lessees & very desirable holding.
PUBLIC BUILDINGS:—
Post Office-Quarters leased to Postmaster General at $300 yearly............. House No. 23, Queen's Road Central, known as Crosby's Stores, at $900 yearly. House No. 25, Queen's Road Central, known as Crosby's Stores, at $600 yearly.
Latrines at 60 cents per seat, monthly.
Slaughter House :—
Leased to the highest bidder by Public Auction for one year from 1st
January to 31st December.
LICENCES.
LICENCE TO RETAIL FERMENTED and SPIRITUOUS LIQUORS, $300 yearly.. Licence to retail Spirituous Liquors to Chinese people only, $120 yearly.
PAWNBROKERS' LICENCE, $350 yearly.
AUCTIONEERS' LICENCE, $300 yearly...........
LICENCES OF TENEMENTS FOR EMIGRANTS
For every 10 Inmates, if by the year, $5, and if by a shorter term, for every
10 Inmates, per diem, 10 cents,
EMIGRATION BROKERS' LICENCE, $200 yearly.
