What is the source of the Water Supply?

What is the quality of the Water?

(II.) Detail the arrangements as to Baths and Lava-

tories.

(III:)) What is the system of Sewerage; and what

the condition of the Privies?

Answers.

Unlimited, but continued supply uncertain.

Surface and Springs.

Good.

There are six Bath-rooms for the use of the whole Hospital. Arrangement defective.

There is one Water-closet flushed from one cistern: the rest of the Hospital is supplied with pails.

The Sewers carry off urine and surface drainage only except in No. 2 House, where there is one Water-closet.

(I.). In reference to the above Table, state whether or not the Register Books were produced on every occasion; and if not, on how many occasions they were not so produced.

(II.) And if on any occasion when they were exa- mined, they were found not to be properly made up to date of examination.

(III.) State also how many Reports of the fol- lowing kinds have come under the notice of the Governor :-

(n.) Reports of a Financial and Statistical kind, especially such as show the system on which Money and Store Accounts are kept and audited.

(b) Reports by Persons charged with the imme-

diate management of the Hospital.

(c.) Reports by a Government Inspector, inde- pendent of the Governing Authority of the Hospital.

(Append copies of his Reports, if any. )
