Victoria.-Head Quarter-House; Murray, North, Victoria and Wellington Barracks; Military Hospital, and Control Offices; Murray and Wellington Batteries; Powder Magazines, (3); Laboratory an Control Store Establishments and Arsenal Yard; all within the Cantonment. Quarters, Pet Street, in charge of Control Department, Royal Engineer Workshops, Stores and Quarters Queen's Itoad, and N. C. Officers' Quarters, and Stores at Spring Gardens.

In Harbor.-Powder Magazine in course of erection on Kellet's Island, and H. M. Hospital Ship Mecance.
N.B. These works, &c., are under the Control of the War Department, and no Expense on account thereof is incurred by the Colony.

Under W. O. Authority No. 4181, dated 7th June, 1870, the Military Contribution is allowed to be paid in, according to the rate of Exchange current for Bills on Loudon at sight on the day when the payment is male. In no instance during 1872 has the Quarterly Amount been paid in at 4/3, (Aruiy par.) Hence the Colony has become the gainer of CC27.7.5 during the period,
