PROCLAMATIONS.

No. 1.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of the follow

ing Ordinances; namely:-

No. 5 of 1870-to authorize the Appropriation of a Supple- mentary Sum not exceeding One hundred and Forty- one thousand Dollars, to" defray the Charges of the Year 1800;

No. 8 of 1870-for enabling the Governor in Council ta make Regulations for the Maintenance of Good Order and the Protection of Property in Public Buildings, Gardens and other Places;

No. 0 of 1870—to amend Ordinance No. 8 of 1860, and to make further Provision in reiation to the Administra- tion of the Estate and Effrets of Deccased Persons ; No. 10 of 1870-for compensating the Families of Persons

killed by Accidents arising from Negligence;

No. 11 of 1870-to amend the Law respreting the Liabi-

litics of Innkeepers;

No. 12 of 1870—to maké Provision for the Enforcement of

Rights of Re-entry by the Crown, and for the Grand- ing of Relief against Forfeiture.

No. 2.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinanco No. 0 of 1870-to apply a Sum not exceeding Seven hundred and Eighty-six thousand Dollars" to the Public Servier of the Year 1870.

No. 3.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance No. 15 of 1870-to apply a Sum not exceeding Six: hundred and Eighty-sreen thousand Dollars to the Public Service of the Your 1871. No. 4.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance No. 5 of 1800-to provide for the Payment out of the Revenue of the Colony of Expenses incurred in the Relief of Distressed British Seamen belunging to Ships registered in this Colony,

No. 5. Announcing Her Majesty's Disallowance of Ordinaner No. 7 of 1870-for the 'Punishment of deported Cri- minals and other Persons dangerous to the Peace and good Order of the Colony, who may be found at large within the same before the Expiration of the Period of their Deportation.

No. 6. Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of the follow-

ing Ordinances; namely:-

No. 14 of 1870—to amend and consolidate the Law in relation to the Issue of Passes for Chinese, and to pro- vide for the better Security of the Residents of the Colony:

No. 17 of 1870-to empower the Governor in Conneil to reduce, vary, and in certain Cases to remit and refund the Amount of Fees payable for the Use of the Govern- ment of the Colony.

No. 7. Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance No. 13 of 1870-for the Extradition of certain Fugi- tives from Justice.

No. 8.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance No. 2 of 1871—to remove Doubts as to the Application. of Ordinance No. 2 of 1850.

No. 9.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance. No. 3 of 1871-to consolidate and amend the Laws of the Colony relating to the Admission and Enrolment by the Supreme Court of Barristers, Attornies, Soli- citors and Proctors, and to the Examination of Articled Clerks, and to provide for the Registration of Public Notaries.

No. 10.-Proclaiming "The Foreign Enlistment Act, 1870," to be in force in the Colony from the 15th December, 1871.

No. 11.-Announcing Her Majesty's Confirmation of Ordinance No. 1 of 1871—to amend Ordinance No. 7 of 1802, and to provide for the Summary Trial of Cases in the Supreme Court.
