The Currency of the Colony is now Proclamation issued under In Majesty'a Order in Carnal regulated by the Queen's of the 9th January 1865, and such Currency as heremafter stated, was made a Legal Finder throughout the Colony from the 16th Febuary 1864 by the Acting Governor's Proclamation of the 22nd January of the same year.

The above Currency consists of the following Coins, viz. :-

1. The Dollar of Musics or other siln Kollar of equivalent value, as may from time to time be

authorized by the Governor of longthing hints 2. Silver Coins issued from Her Majesty

representing

one tench part of the said Collar,

and commonly called "Ion Cent Piece". 3. Copper or Bronze Coins, also issued from ther Majesty's Mir, representing, (1) one hundredet part of the said Dollar, and commonly called "One Pent Die, and (2) one thousand th port of the said Dollar, and commonly called "Mut" or "Cash.
