The whole of the furniture, therefore, provided for public purposes, is now supplied by the Colony, and that for the Bed Rooms, etc., is in future to be defrayed by the Governor for the time being.

The Secretary of State sanctioned the payment of £250 to His Excellency in consequence of the inconvenience and loss to which he was subject in providing the furniture requisite on his arrival; and it is to be understood that in the present instance, on the departure of His Excellency, the furniture is to be offered to his successor.
