There is one apartment for the performance of religious services on Sunday. There is no separation of prisoners therein.

Abienail Islam, weak-minded, destitute, and a vagrant, committed for vagrancy, has been in Gaol for short periods, now for 30 days. Confined with Chinese and Indians. Bastian Fernandes, a lunatic, destitute; has been in Gaol for short periods.

The Gaol is in want not only of enlargement but of extensive repairs to the present buildings; the floors and woodwork of which are rotten throughout. Yards and divisions furnishing the complete separation of classes, Workshops, Bathrooms; a proper Gateway with reception room & office, and an outer court with the entrance Turnkey's Quarters are all much wanted. The wall is one foot low; it would be advisable to raise it and have a proper coping.
