and Bouel complaint - I am

happy to say

that I have not

heard of a single

case of that severe hype of Gever known as the HongKong Fever having occurred amongst the Civilians- Dysentery has been much

more rare and much more amenable to heatment than it usually is.

Biashaa. Some few

cases

of this disease have occurred, but in every instance of a

mild character-

Nepatic affections have been very rare but there have been

cases of congestion of

that organ and of the Spleen consequence the Sungs Fever- Inflammation of the Lungs

of the Pleura have been less frequent than I have. known such diseases during the last six years - Theumation has been less prevalent than it usually is. Venereal affection is of frequent

occurrence and

more virulent in character. than hitherto, to check this

disease is absolutely necessary but I understand that some proposed ordinance on the subject has been sent to England for the consideration of the Home Authorities. The Juvenile portion of the community have suffered much from Intestinal Worms, and diseased produced by the
