Sir,

I have the honor to submit my Annual Report upon Public Works executed and in progress during the Year ended 31st December 1855:

Buildings. The supply of furniture for Government House under authority of Report No. 10 of 1854, £1,130 having been approved, certain portions were designed and executed on the spot by Chinese workmen, such as chairs, tables, sofas, &c., and orders were sent to England for the purchase of lamps, &c.
