The labour performed by the Convicts has been of the usual character in the formation and repair of Roads, and has employed the labour of 599 men in doing in the city, made the Police do duty in some of the Districts; repair of Roads and ... , and in the formation of Bonds to Government Home (6125 men) in repairing and cleansing Drains (211 men) in removing materials from the Albany Grounds, for the purpose of making drains within the Gaol (378 men); and for Services of a miscellaneous character (1346 men), forming a total of 1952 men.
