He shall after declaration to that effect, and on making it appear to the satisfaction of the gaoler or visiting justices that he is not possessed of means of support, receive the Government allowance of food provided by these Rules; but if it shall appear that any article therein enumerated is supplied to him by his friends, he shall be debarred from receiving the same from the Prison allowance.
He shall as a general Rule be allowed to see his friends and relations during broad daylight, that is, from sunrise to sunset. Females will not be admitted to see Prisoners, unless they be the wife or Child of the Debtor, or allowed by the gaoler on adjudged of by him to be of good character, not of suspicious character.
The doors of the Prison shall be opened at sunrise and closed at sunset, when all Prisoners will retire within the walls of the prison. No gambling whatever is allowed.
No visit shall be permitted to an idle or suspicious person.
