Mr. Inglis was granted leave of absened for 4 months from god

December, 1847, to proceed to New South Wales, but was unavoidably absent beyond his leave, on account of us vessels proceeping there from to Hongkong, as explaine in Despatch is 50 of 24th July, to Earl Grey. He returned to the Colony on the 20th July. From the
