7. Seasonal incidence.
18. In every case the number of deaths registered in any particular month during 1939 exceeded that of the corresponding month during the previous year.
19. The peak of mortality was reached in August, July being a close second and March coming third. Cholera was in part responsible for the height of the death curve in August and July and cerebro-spinal meningitis and smallpox for the secondary peak in March.
8. Nationality other than Chinese.
20. There was little change in the relative proportion of non-Chinese deaths in 1939 as compared with the distribution in 1938 when 197 deaths in this group were recorded. Table VIII shows the actual incidence among the various nationalities--other than Chinese.
