241. Boundary Lights:
Twenty-nine boundary and obstruction lights were installed at Kai Tak Airport.

242. Surfacing of Sai Kung Road at Flight Gap:-(a) From Sam Tack Road to Field Cottage site:-This work was carried out by the Maintenance Contractor and was completed.
(b) From Field Cottage site to Customs Pass Road:-A contract was let to Messrs. Sang Lee & Co. for $42,895.00 and work was commenced on 6th September to be completed by 28th November. Work progressed satisfactorily but, owing to drainage work in progress, it was not possible to make the whole area available to the contractor and the contract time was extended to 28th January, 1938.

243. In conformity with the usual custom certain works carried out for the Naval, Military and Air Force Authorities were
244. A considerable number of both major and minor improvements and additions were made at Cape D'Aguilar; Victoria Peak; Observatory, Marine and Meteorological, and Kai Tak Wireless Telegraph Stations.
245. Improvements to and replacements of apparatuses were carried out to the Police and Harbour services.
246. The transmitting, studio and control instruments relating to Broadcasting and those at the Radio Offices were improved.
247. The administration of the Government Wireless Telegraph School was transferred to the Education Department during the year.
