225. Construction of a nullah training at Shek Kong:- (a) The first section of a Diversion Nullah at Pat Heung:-This work, which was referred to in paragraph 211 (a) of last year's Report was completed on the 4th April, 1937.
(b) Diversion Channel and Temporary Dam:-This work, which was referred to in paragraph 211 (b) of last year's Report was completed on the 31st March, 1937.
(c) Construction of the Upper and Lower Sections of Pat Heung Nullah:-Under an extension of the contract for the above work this was commenced on the 21st March, 1937.
226. Road from Kennedy Road to Military Hospital, Bowen Road:-This road, now known as Borrett Road, was constructed to give access to the Military Hospital on Bowen Road. Work commenced on August 15th, 1936, and was completed on August 15th, 1937. The cost was covered by payment into a separate account.
227. Alterations to Storm Water Drainage-Electric Road etc. At the request and cost of The Hong Kong Electric Company, Ltd. a large storm water drain diversion was undertaken in Electric Road, in conjunction with a similar drain in Boat Street. Storm water drains from 54" to 42" diameter to a total length of 620 feet were laid.
228. Drainage Extensions and Connections:
Connections:- Various minor extensions and connections to both sewers and storm-water drains were carried out at applicant's expense in Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Kowloon and New Territories.
229. Concrete Surfacing for Road to Smuggler's Gap:-A contract was awarded to the Union Construction Co. on 4th November. Satisfactory progress was made by the end of the year.
230. Praya East Reclamation:-480 feet of 15" cast iron main were laid in Hennessy Road, at the Arsenal Street junction, completing the link with the existing 12" main in Queen's Road.
