## STAFF

1. Acting Senior Inspector Strange was relieved at Kennedy Town Slaughter House by Acting Senior Inspector Eccleshall on January 6. On December 21 Senior Inspector Old took over from Acting Senior Inspector Eccleshall.

## GENERAL STATISTICS

2. There was a slight decrease in the number of animals slaughtered.

3. The number of animals admitted to Kennedy Town and Ma Tau Kok Slaughter Houses is shown in Table XV.

4. The revenue derived from Slaughter Houses was $242,302.94.

## LARD FACTORIES

5. The following goods were manufactured and exported to the Philippine Islands, United Kingdom, etc.:-

Lard 10,921,622.00 lbs. Cracklings 1,082,565.00 Skins 968,714.00 Sausages and dried meat 196,239.75

6. Raw material received into Lard Factories:

Raw Fat 15,640,588.00 lbs. Lean Meat 253,490.00

## CREMATORIUM

7. The following were destroyed, for which no charges were made:

15,154 lbs. of diseased meat (condemned carcases, etc.).
92 tons Hospital refuse and 518 animals.

Fuel used in Crematorium for 1937: ---
67 tons of coal.
34 gallons of kerosene emulsion.
