29. There has been a falling off in the through terminal receipts for goods traffic. This may be attributed to the smaller revenue derived from vegetables. During five months of the previous year, a special vegetable train ran daily, whereas all vegetables conveyed in 1936 were carried by the Down Mixed. Receipts amounted to $27,167.67 as against $30,815.60 for 1935, a drop of 11.84%. The results obtained, compared with the previous year, are summarised hereunder:
