Messrs. The Ching Hing Construction Co. in July for extending the sea wall foundation blocks a distance of 269 feet, the construction of a sea wall on the foundation blocks, together with the building of 319 feet of nullah wall. At the end of the year, forty-six foundation blocks had been manufactured, the 319 feet of nullah walling had been completed to cope level and 890 feet of sea walling to the level of 8'-6".

145. Construction of Seawall and Cattle Pier at Kennedy Town-This work was referred to in paragraph 132 of last year's Report. The sea-wall for a length of 560 feet was brought up to the level of ten feet above Ordnance Datum. The construction of the live stock landing was completed. Approximately one acre of reclamation was formed by building debris from the demolition of buildings, spoil from site formation, etc., dumped free of expense to Government.

146. Construction of Yard for storage of Sand at Praya East-This work was referred to in paragraph 133 of last year's Report. The only expenditure under this head was on account of the payment of retention money amounting to $500 which became due to the Contractor on expiration of the maintenance period of six months.

147. Blake Pier Improvements:-A contract for major repairs to the deck of the pier was let to Messrs. Ah Hing & Co. on 10th August, 1936. No expenditure was incurred as the steel for the contract did not arrive in the Colony till 27th December.
