BOARD OF EDUCATION.

31. The Board of Education met seven times during the year.

Mr. L. D'Almada e Castro, Jr., Rev. Father G. Byrne, and Mr. A el Arculli whose terms of office had expired were re-appointed for a further term of two years. The Very Rev. A. Swann, D.S.C. resigned from the Board on leaving the Colony and Rev. C. B. R. Sargent was appointed a member on 1st April, 1935. Rev. J. R. Higgs was appointed a member on 9th August, 1935, vice Mr. B. Wylie.

33. Mr. Sutherland, I.S.O., M.A. (retired) was replaced on the Board by Mr. A. O. Brawn on 26th February, 1935.

34. Mr. J. Ralston, M.A. acted as Secretary from 26th February, 1935 to the end of the year.

35. Mr. G. R. Sayer, B.A., Acting Director of Education, was on duty throughout the year.
