29. On 29th September Miss H. F. Skinner, M.B.E., Head Mistress, Belilios Public School, proceeded on leave prior to retirement, the post thus vacated being filled by the appointment of Mrs. P. Y. Stark, M.A.
30. Mrs. Stubbings, Senior Mistress, proceeded on leave prior to retirement on 21st November and Miss Birt on 16th August.
31. Arrivals from home on appointment were Mr. W. J. Dyer, B.A., on 5th September and Mr. A. St. G. Walton, B.A. on 18th October.
32. The establishment of University Trained Teachers was increased by four; and two additional University Trained Mistresses were appointed.
33. There were twenty-three Students-in-Training at the University of Hong Kong during the year. Of these four graduated in December and have since been appointed as University Trained Teachers.

34. The Board of Education met three times during the year. Captain P. S. Cannon, M.A., A.E.C., Hon. Mr. S. W. Tso, O.B.E., LL.D., Rev. F. Short, Mr. H. B. L. Dowbiggin, O.B.E., and Sir W. W. Hornell, Kt., C.I.E., M.A., LL.D., whose terms of office had expired were appointed for a further term of two years. Captain P. S. Cannon resigned from the Board on leaving the Colony and Captain G. W. P. Kimm, A.E.C., was appointed a member on 23rd November, 1934.
