SANITARY BOARD.
1. The following were members of the Sanitary Board during the year:---
President, the Head of the Sanitary Department, Mr. G. R. Sayer from 1st January to 13th January, from 14th December to 31st December and Mr. T. Megarry from 14th January to 13th December. Vice-President, the Director of Public Works, the Honourable Mr. R. M. Henderson, for whom the Honourable Mr. A. G. W. Tickle acted from 6th May to 29th November.
The Secretary for Chinese Affairs, the Honourable Mr. E. R. Hallifax, C.M.G., C.B.E., from 1st January to 23rd March and the Honourable Mr. A. E. Wood from 24th March to 31st December.

LEGISLATION.
2. The following by-laws were made by the Board:--
The By-laws governing Food-preserving Establishments were amended by amending condition and requirement (2) in by-law No. 4 so as to ensure that the food-preserving establishments were kept at all times in a cleanly condition. The amendment was made by the Board on 13th October and approved by the Legislative Council on 26th October.
