356 In-patients were treated in the three wards of the Surgical Clinic at the Government Civil Hospital.

660 Surgical operations under anaesthesia were performed.

The Out-patient attendance in the Surgical Clinic (including Ear, Nose and Throat and Orthopaedics) numbered 3,899.

There were also 2,574 new patients who attended the ophthalmic out-patients Clinic.
