38. ACCIDENTS TO PERSONNEL.

The one case of serious injury to a passenger was that of a Chinese school girl who alighted from a train before it had stopped and had a foot cut off. In the case of the Railway servant, the accident was of a similar nature with similar result.
40. The Railway Medical Officer, Dr. K. H. Uttley, reports that all drivers and firemen were carefully examined with regard to eyesight and general health.
FIRST AID.
41. The strength of the Railway Division was 38 officers and men.
42. The Division was awarded the Chapter General of the Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John's "Thanks on Vellum" for work done in connection with the Anti-Japanese riots in September 1931.
43. This is the second act of recognition by the Order of the Division's work, the first presentations being individual ones for work in the Railway accident in April 1931.
44. The Division was also awarded the Holyoak Attendance Cup for regular attendance at Lectures during the year.
45. All members passed the Annual Re-examination. Total accidents treated numbered 18.
