21. A survey was made at Hang Shui Yuen, Ping Shan District, the area being 14 acres, length of Traverses 21,000 feet, linear error 1 in 4,000 and angular error 1′20′′. The survey of Un Loong Market was revised, area 1 acre, traverse length 2,400 feet, linear error 1 in 5,000 and angular error 1′0′′. A survey of 3 acres was made of the proposed extension to Sun Wai Military Camp, the traverse length being 2,000 feet, linear error 1 in 10,000 and angular error 40′′.

22. The boundaries of 427 lots were defined on the ground chiefly for building purposes. In addition, various roads and lots between North Point and Quarry Bay were defined and permanent marks fixed. This was in connection with land development and reclamation of foreshore which is now taking place. The new alignment of Ice House Street between Queen's Road Central and Des Voeux Road Central was defined and permanent marks fixed. The land in this district is particularly valuable and, in consequence, exceptional care had to be exercised in setting out all offsets and measurements, both linear and angular being as exact as possible. A line for future setting out was also laid down between Wardley Street and Ice House Street in Queen's Road.

23. An extension of 12 acres to Kai Tak Air Fort was demarcated. Lot No. 1287 Demarcation District 115, with an area of 14 acres, was also defined on the ground.

24. The frontage lines to streets of 295 building lots were checked.

25. 2,869 stones were fixed to define the boundaries of 613 lots. Twenty-five concrete posts were fixed to define the boundaries of the various burial areas in Kowloon Cemetery No. 2 (extension), and 16 were refixed to define the boundaries of Kowloon Cemetery No. 1.

26. Boundaries of numerous lots and street alignments were set out for the Drainage, General Works, and Roads sub-departments.

27. Owing to the continual development of building areas, particularly on the Kowloon peninsula, the staff has been fully occupied during the whole of the period of nine months now under review. As the survey of Victoria 1:600 scale has, to all intents and purposes, been completed, the work has largely consisted of surveys for revision and extra detail where necessary.
