Many surveys of miscellaneous character were carried out viz—for plans required to be attached to deeds of Surrender, plans for areas to be sold, plans for the Police Department in connection with criminal charges, etc., and various plans for departmental use.
SURVEY OF COLONY.
7. City of Victoria.—Revision work only has been carried out 27.20 acres with a chainage of 2.8 miles has been surveyed and plotted.
Peak.—Revision work only has been carried out 20.57 acres with a chainage of 5 miles has been surveyed and plotted.
Wongneicheong District.—Area surveyed and plotted 33.40 acres with a chainage of 6 miles.
Pokfulam.—A certain amount of cultivation was surveyed in this District—the survey of the Reservoir was also carried out. Area surveyed 56.5 acres plotted 4.25 acres with a chainage of 9.1 miles.
Aberdeen and Aplichau.—Revision work and the cemetery on Aplichau Island, including the coast line, were surveyed and plotted. Area 25 acres with a chainage of 3 miles.
Deep Water Bay. Surveyed and plotted 7.40 acres.
Stanley.—Area surveyed and plotted 24.30 acres—chainage 1.3 miles.
Tytam.—Area surveyed and plotted 21.30 acres with chainage of 4.3 miles.
Sai Wan.—5.57 acres surveyed and plotted. Chainage 4,487 feet.
Shaukiwan.—Only revision work was done here, 2.61 acres was surveyed and plotted.
Quarry Bay—1.60 acres was surveyed and plotted with chainage of 1,200 feet.
