Night Schools.-During the year, 42 new schools were registered, and 45 closed—the number existing at the end of December was 81 as against 84 in the previous year. The number of students enrolled was 2,242 (2,030 in 1928) and the average attendance was 1,768 (1,577 in 1928).

All schools have been visited at least once during the year.
