144. Miscellaneous.-The following is a brief description of the principal work carried out under this heading :-

1. The erection of a temporary timber Examination Shed and office for the examination of dutiable goods at Kowloon Point.

2. The conversion of an old Stable at the Kowloon Disinfecting Station into Quarters for Scaveng- ing Coolies together with the erection of a detached Kitchen for use with the Quarters.

were fixed including 4 in Kowloon Tong Estate. (b.) Minor Extensions to Mains-The following mains

were laid-

800 feet of 6′′ main in Mong Kok Road.

400 feet of 4" main in Sai Yueng Choi Street. 300 feet of 4" main in Portland Street.

260 feet of 4" main in Reclamation Street.

(c.) Purchase of Lighting Set-The old set having be- come worn out, a new Electric Lighting Set for the Kowloon Reservoir Bungalow was purchased at a cost of $280.00.
