Other animals are quarantined for varying periods according to their place of origin.

Rabies:-During the year 142 dogs were placed under observation on account of being suspected of being rabid.
They were disposed of as follows:-
Returned to owner Died Destroyed Sent to S.P.C.A. Dogs' Home Remaining under observation 101 11 16 8 614 dog brains were examined by the Government Bacteriologist for evidence of Rabies with negative results in all cases.
Glanders. Nil. Anthrax. 2 cases. Rinderpest. Nil.
