108. Garage for Motor Vans and Cars at the Central Police Station. This work consisted of the erection of a Garage to house the Prison Motor Vans and the Police Motor Cars, and of a shelter at the rear of the old Police Station to protect the Police Motor-cycles.

To provide a site for the Garage, the old and dilapidated wing of the quarters of the Deputy Superintendent of Police containing disused servants' quarters was demolished, and the Garage built thereon, such servants' quarters as were required being incorporated in the scheme.

The open yard at the rear of the old barrack block was covered over to form a shelter for the Police Motor-cycles.

The work was commenced in February and completed in September.
