QUARANTINE.
The numbers of animals examined and passed through quarantine during the year are as follows:-
Horses 201
Dogs 42
Cattle Nil.
Boars 4
Imported horses and mules unless accompanied by a satisfactory "Mallein" certificate are detained until they have passed the "Mallein" test.
Dogs, cattle and swine are quarantined for varying periods according to their place of origin.
Infectious Disease in Quarantine.
Nil.
LIVE STOCK IN THE COLONY.
The following numbers of Live Stock were in the districts under the supervision of Sanitary Inspectors on 31/12/27.

INFECTIOUS DISEASE IN THE COLONY.
Rabies-During the year 312 dogs were placed under observation on account of being suspected of being rabid. In addition 11 carcases were sent direct to the Bacteriological Institute, for examination of the brain for evidence of Rabies. In addition to the above 4 monkeys and 2 boars were placed under observation.
The animals were disposed of as follows:-
