Staff Changes.
Mr. John Duncan, Port Engineer, retired on pension as from 26th May.
Mr. Robert Baker was appointed Port Engineer as from 26th May.
Messrs. G. R. Fenton and E. S. S. Bowman, Assistant Engineers, resigned from the service of the Government and left on 14th November.
Mr. G. S. Brown was appointed Assistant Engineer as from 13th June and arrived in the Colony on 25th July.
Mr. D. Macdonald, 1st Class Overseer, arrived in the Colony on 6th February and was invalided out of the service on 3rd October.
Mr. P. C. C. Nielsen, Senior Overseer, Diver, was invalided out of the service on 6th December.
Mr. A. M. Holland was engaged locally as 2nd Class Overseer on 14th April.
Mr. A. L. Quarrell, 2nd Class Overseer, was transferred from P.W.D. on 1st December.
Mr. R. S. Bevan seconded from the Railway Department to service in the Department as 2nd Class Overseer as from 16th December.
Mr. T. Black was appointed Superintendent of Accounts and Correspondence, and arrived in the Colony on 5th February.
Mr. A. Anderson was in charge of the Department from 1st to 30th April, after the departure of Mr. J. Duncan and until the arrival of Mr. R. Baker.
Mr. A. Nicol, Senior Assistant Engineer, was in charge of the Department from September 29th to October 14th, during the absence of the Port Engineer on sick leave and the Deputy Port Engineer at Weihaiwei.
The following Officers were granted leave of absence:
Mr. R. A. Hyne, 2nd Class Overseer, from 5.9.25 for 9 months and 9 days.
Mr. A. Anderson, Deputy Port Engineer, was granted vacation leave from 29.9.25 to 30.10.25 and proceeded to Weihaiwei to advise as to the construction of a proposed breakwater.
