On the 5th September a serious burst took place in one of the new 30" diameter delivery pipes which had just been installed by Messrs. Worthington Simpson & Co. This caused the whole of the Pumping Station being put out of action. Temporary repairs were effected as quickly as possible and pumping was resumed on 20th September.

139. Stanley Mound East, Catchwater.-This work was referred to in paragraph 134 of last year's Report.
The Contract was practically fulfilled during the year, only a little clearing up remained to be done in 1926 to complete the work.
A further length of 5,400 feet of catchwater was finished and was effective in adding a further 100 acres to the drainage area of Taitam Tuk Reservoir. The total length of the catchwater is 12,400 feet and the total area drained is 400 acres. A saving of about $17,000.00 will be effected on the original total estimate for this work.

140. Stanley Mound West, Catchwater.-This work was referred to in paragraph 137 of last year's Report.
It was completed, and the maintenance period expired before the end of the year.
The catchwater, which has a total length of 11,200 feet, diverts the drainage from 160 acres into the Taitam Intermediate Reservoir.
The invert and lower portion of the side walls are of cement concrete, whilst the upper portion of the side walls are of lime and cement concrete.
