Although there was considerable rainfall during March and April, the wet season did not set in until June.
The first heavy rains fell on the 15th June when the reservoirs commenced to rise. The dry season set in early, the last considerable rain falling on the 2nd October.
The maximum quantity of water impounded in all the reservoirs during the year amounted to 2,118 million gallons on 17th July or 9 million gallons less than the maximum during 1924.
The total quantity of water remaining in the reservoirs at the end of the year amounted to 1,234 million gallons.
The total quantity of water pumped from Taitam Tuk Reservoir during the year amounted to 1,512.92 million gallons, 1,280.30 million gallons being pumped by the new Simpson Engines and 232.62 million gallons by the Tangye Engines. This total exceeds last year's by 83.64 million gallons.
