52. Gas Lighting,-City, Suburbs and Hill District.-The total number of lamps in use at the end of the year in the City and its precincts was 1,529, an increase of 160 over the previous year, and in the Hill District 202, an increase of 2 as compared with the previous year.
53. Electric Lighting,-City, Hill District and Shaukiwan. The number and positions of incandescent lamps in the principal roads of the City are as under: —
