The number of plans deposited during the year was 1,863 as compared with 3,111 for 1924.
The number of plans approved during the year was 2,636 as compared with 4,258 in 1924.
25. Certificates.-The following certificates for new buildings were issued:
486 under Section 204 of Ordinance 1 of 1903, for 1,771 domestic buildings, of which 162 were European and 1,609 Chinese dwellings.
170 certificates were issued for 84 non-domestic buildings.
These figures show a decrease of 52 in the case of "Domestic" and 25 in the number of "Non-Domestic" buildings.
The operation of the Rents Restriction Ordinance necessitated consideration of applications as indicated in the following table :-
